Week 10 Record: 4 – 2

Another 4-2 week! I might just have this thing figured out.

It wasn’t a particularly exciting week of college football. However, there were plenty of games that I really enjoyed watching. Especially, when my bets are hitting!

So let me take a bit of victory lap as I dive into my picks from Week 10!

Army vs Air Force

  • The Pick: Army ML
  • Result: Army 20 – 17 Air Force

This one lived up to all my expectations. It was a classic military academy matchups that was close until the very end. There isn’t much to talk about with this one. Only that Jeff Monken will come out on top more than he doesn’t in these spots.

Navy vs North Texas

  • The Pick: North Texas Over 36.5
  • Result: North Texas 31 – 17 Navy

This should have hit. Just like the team total over I took last week should have hit. You can pretty much go back and read last week’s report about the South Florida team total.

North Texas scored 24 points in the 1st half of this game. The offense looked dominant and this one looked like it was going to be easy. That was until Navy started to step up a bit defensively and all of sudden North Texas couldn’t move the ball at all. This resulted in just a single touchdown in the 2nd half and heartbreak for me.

I don’t feel like I learned anything here. This really should have cashed. Unbelievable!

Texas Tech vs Kansas State

  • The Pick: Texas Tech -7.5
  • Result: Texas Tech 43 – 20 Kansas State

Kansas State made me nervous for a lot of this game. They came out fighting and looked like they might actually be able to win this game. However, a coupe questionable coaching decisions and some bad QB play from Avery Johnson late let Texas Tech run away.

In the end, I was correct that the defensive line would just be too much for Kansas State. They had Avery Johnson panicked which led to the key turnovers I needed to cash this one easily.

Georgia vs Florida

  • The Pick: Florida +7.5
  • Result: Georgia 24 – 20 Florida

If this wasn’t the most 2025 Florida game ever then I don’t know what is. The Florida defense fought their ass off this whole game to keep the Gators in it. However, DJ Lagway and the offense just weren’t able to find any sort of consistency on offense.

That’s not to say they looked bad the whole game. DJ Lagway made some plays that reminded me why we all liked him so much going into this season. Again though, it just wasn’t consistent enough to beat Georgia.

Georgia still didn’t impress me, but there is something to be said about a team that just keeps finding ways to win.

Oklahoma vs Tennessee

  • The Pick: Tennessee -3.5
  • Result: Oklahoma 33 – Tennessee 27

Tennessee dominated the first half of this game and yet still found a way to be behind on the scoreboard at half. That was due to some costly turnovers that gave Oklahoma some great field position. The Oklahoma defense completely proved me wrong here. While they did struggle a little with the Tennessee offense, they were able to apply tons of pressure to Aguilar which caused him to make mistakes.

While on the topic of Aguilar, that guy is just not an elite talent. He can make any throw on the football field but, if he feels even a little bit of pressure, he panics and throws some of the worst passes you will see. I just can’t put my trust in that guy going forward.

USC vs Nebraska

  • The Pick: Under 58.5
  • Result: USC 21 – 17 Nebraska

This under was so easy. It was truly never in doubt!

The defenses came to play in this one as both teams were held to under 150 passing yards. In this sport that is just unheard of. The offense came almost entirely on the ground for both teams which helped chew some clock and keep possessions to a minimum.

It’s not exactly how I thought this game would play out, but a win is a win. And this was an EASY one.
